InBack allows you to test the integrity of your backups so that you can locate and keep track of any corrupt files that may make restoring a project impossible. You can do this in two ways:
|1.||Entire project: This method will check all of the files for the backup project that you choose.|
|2.||Individual file: This method will check individual files (that you choose) within a project that has been backed up.|
a. From the Projects tab, click on and choose the project that you wish to test.
b. Click on the Available Backups tab.
c. Click on the backup file you want to test.
d. Click on the Green Arrow button, or, right mouse click on the project and choose Test Selected Backup. The Test Backup Integrity window will open and automatically run the test for you. Each file is checked off as it is tested and cleared.
e. When the test is complete click on the Close button.
|2.||To test the integrity of an individual file or group of files in a backup:|
|a.||On the Projects tab, click on the project that contains the files that you want to test.|
|c.||While holding the Ctrl key down click on the files that you want to test. If you want to test all of the files choose Select All from the Edit menu or right mouse click in the files area and choose Select All from the context menu.|
|d.||Click on the Green Arrow button. The Test Backup Integrity window will open and automatically run the test for you. Each file is checked off as it is tested and cleared.|
|e.||When the test is complete click on the Close button.|
