The Optimization tab contains one section, Overall Speed of Backups.
|A.||Overall Speed of Backups|
Under Overall Speed of Backups you can set the default speed for backups. You must select one of four methods:
|1.||Normal (Standard Speed): produces the slowest backup is good for those times when you have other programs or processes running on your computer at the same time. The normal setting will allow InBack to share time slices with other programs. This speed is the default.|
|2.||Faster: produces a faster backup than Normal is good for those times when you want the backup to grab larger time slices from other programs.|
|3.||Even Faster: produces an even faster backup than Faster is good for those times when you want the backup to grab even larger time slices from other programs.|
|4.||Fastest: produces the fastest backup possible is good for those times when you want the backup to be the main focus of the computer. This option gives the backup the maximum number of time slices that are available to it.|
If your backups contain lots of small files, then you should see a noticeable difference in the speed of your backup with the Faster and higher adjustments. There is less of a difference with larger files. Another way to speed things up, is to use Full Path (which is the default) in the Include Path Information on the General tab.
